Law Office of Connie Renee Clay, P.A.

Superior client service is my goal.

Firm Profile

I have been practicing law in Jacksonville since 1987. I began my career as a prosecutor at the State Attorney's Office in Jacksonville. While at the State Attorney's Office, I represented the State of Florida at over thirty jury trials including DUI, sexual assault, robbery and murder.

Following my tenure at the State Attorney's Office, I spent ten years representing the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families. While a Senior Attorney at the Department of Children and Families, formerly known as HRS, I handled thousands of child abuse and neglect cases. I handled the cases from the initial decision to remove a child from his or her parents through termination of parental rights and appeal.

After leaving the Department of Children and Families, I began my own practice, the Law Office of Connie Renee Clay, a Professional Association. I  focus on issues that affect families including family law, Department of Children and Families (HRS) issues, and child abuse and neglect matters. Since beginning my own practice, I have assisted clients in divorce, paternity, dependency, and termination of parental rights cases. I have also handled numerous appeals of cases from the Department of Children and Families (HRS).

I pride myself on exceeding my clients' expectations. I accomplish this first by listening and determining what outcome my client wants. I  believe it is my responsibility to present all available options to the client. I allow the client to decide what is in his or her best interest.
